Japanese Juniper Bonsai Starter Tree - 4" pot
Thanks Hirts!!

Product Description:
The Japanese Juniper is a hardy evergreen, found in temperate regions of the world. Junipers generally have a naturally flowing or "cascading" shape of long, trailing branches, and can be trained into many amazing Bonsai shapes. The branches usually respond well to wiring and reshaping.
As an indoor bonsai, the Japanese Juniper should be in a very bright, but cool location. A south, west or east window is ideal. For best growth temperatures should not exceed 70 degrees Fahrenheit for an extended period of time. 60 to 70 degrees is ideal.
If the air is dry in your home grow the bonsai on a humidity tray or mist once or twice daily. The plant itself should be kept evenly moist, but not wet or dry. The living moss should be misted daily.
Japanese Juniper Bonsai Starter Tree is growing in a 4" pot. It stands 6-7" high including the pot. The trunk is about 1/4" in diameter. Similar to the first picture.
Proper name: Juniper procumbens nana

Review of Cider Gum Eucalyptus Herb 20 Seeds - Eucalyptus gunnii
Click Here to see more reviews about: Cider Gum Eucalyptus Herb 20 Seeds - Eucalyptus gunnii
Product Description:
*
Eucalyptus is an enormous and fascinating genus. It comprises over 700 species, and accounts for more than two-thirds of Australia's vegetation. It is unfortunate that they are frequently regarded as not being reliably hardy outside of the subtropics, because it discourages people from planting them in cooler areas. There are many reasons to plant a eucalyptus--to begin with, they help to control aphids and other insects, most of them will grow rapidly, even in poor soil (12' per year is not out of the question), and most of them are very attractive--eucalyptus have a beauty all their own. And eucalyptus foliage, which shows incredible variety, is excellent for cut foliage in floral arrangements.
Unless it is to be grown as a pot plant for its entire life (more on that below), a eucalyptus seedling must be planted as soon as possible, before too many roots reach the edges and bottom of its pot. Eucalyptus ought to be planted when they are no more than 8 - 14 inches in height.
This tree is a native of Australia, but nowadays it is popular in European and American ornamental gardens. The foliage has an attractive silvery-bluish colour and a fine, aromatic fragrance which keeps gnats at bay. Growth is extremely rapid.
Culture: Sun or part shade. Hardy in zones 7-10. Can also be grown as a patio plant, outdoors in the summer, indoors in the winter.
Uses: Ornamental plantings, hedges or windbreaks, shade trees, firewood, cut flowers, foliage and fruits, frost-resistant plant.Definitely one you should have!

The tree came packaged in a tall box with an inner Styrofoam base to protect the pot.The pot and base of the tree were wrapped tight in a thick plastic and the soil was damp upon arrival. The rest of the space inside the box was filled with a biodegradable type of foam peanuts (watch out, they get everywhere when you take the tree out).

Review of Brussel's Dwarf Crepe Myrtle Outdoor Bonsai Tree
Click Here to see more reviews about: Brussel's Dwarf Crepe Myrtle Outdoor Bonsai Tree
Product Description:
With delicate, crinkled vibrant pink/purple flowers blossoming mid to late summer, the Dwarf Crepe Myrtle bonsai tree adds welcome color to any deck, patio or garden. The flowers have six or seven crinkly-edged petals on stalks, sticking out between the sepals, which are simple triangular points. The flowers occur in spike-like clusters. The tree's sinewy, fluted stems support opposing leaves with entire margins.Grown in Chinese nurseries under carefully controlled conditions, and developed at U.S. National Arboretum, this tree is 5 years old and 7 inches tall.
Brussels grows specimens only under carefully controlled conditions, meticulously training each tree with wire and pruning over a period of years. If upon the tree's arrival some leaves have dropped or turned slightly brown that does not mean the bonsai is unhealthy. Defoliation is the natural result of being in the low-light environment of a shipping box. When you receive your tree, place the box in a shaded area to unpack. Inspect tree for damage to branches or leaves. Water soil if dry, and place the tree in shade for at least one week before moving to a sunny location.
What is a Bonsai?
Literally, the Japanese word "bonsai" means "tray tree" or "plant grown in a pot." The term refers to the artistic techniques used to capture the natural beauty of trees, rather than a specific variety of tree. A full-grown tree and a bonsai can be grown from the same seed--the bonsai has simply been dwarfed and shaped through years of training. For more information on care and training visit Brussel's Bonsai on the Web.

Review of LOUSBONSAINURSERY IMPORTED FLOWERING FUKIEN TEA INDOOR BONSAI TREE (FLOWERS
So yea, the thing came so well wrapped that it took a while to actually get it out of the box. The soil and pot were wrapped in plastic wrap to prevent spillage and the rest of the box was packed with so many peanuts I am still picking them out of places that I will not mention here.
The tree itself has little green leaves, little white flowers, and little green to yellow then red fruits. The trunk is well formed and perfectly proportioned. Its curvy in all the right places with branch placement in classic bonsai style (found out later). The pot is small and orange and is about as big as my hand. The tree is about eight inches tall and looks like bonsai tree (go figure).
I do not expect that all who read this will get a perfect tree. What is perfect about this tree for me may not be perfect for you. I ordered it under the assumption that all bonsai's are a work in progress. I took a chance based on the amount of care I was willing to provide it regardless of its condition upon arrival.
I was woefully surprised.

Review of Blue Japanese Wisteria Vine 5 Seeds - Hard to Find!
Hooray! I didn't expect it to germinate so soon.
A bit of advice, nick the seed before planting to open up the shell. Then, use high grade seed starter soil. I also use distilled water (DO NOT USE TAP WATER)that has been slightly warmed to raise the temp of the soil to about 85 degrees. I water every morning (early) with just one teaspoon of warm water over the top of the seeded area to stimulate growth. This has worked very, very well for me with seeds in the past.
I am excited about growing this one. :D

The flowering habit of Japanese wisteria is perhaps the most spectacular of the Wisteria family. It sports the longest flower racemes of any wisteria; they can reach nearly half a meter in length. These racemes burst into great trails of clustered blue flowers in early- to mid-spring. The flowers carry a distinctive fragrance similar to that of grapes.
Japanese wisteria can grow over 30m long over many supports via powerful clockwise-twining stems. The foliage consists of shiny, dark-green, pinnately compound leaves 10-30cm in length. The leaves bear 9-13 oblong leaflets that are each 2-6 cm long. It also bears brown, velvety, bean-like seed pods 5-10cm long that mature in summer and persist until winter. Japanese wisteria prefers moist soils and full sun in USDA plant hardiness zones 5-9. The plant often lives over fifty years.

Product Description:
With small, round leaves and large, pink flowers blooming from May to June, this broadleaf flowering bonsai is packed with stems for a gorgeous late spring show.Though the Satsuki Azalea has just one flower per stem, the shrub has so many stems that during the flowering season they are a solid mass of color. Grown in Japan for centuries, the Satsuki Azalea's graceful trunk movement adds distinct shape to the patio, deck or garden. This particular bonsai is 5 years old and stands 8 inches tall. Although evergreens can be displayed indoors for short periods of time, they need to experience seasonal changes and should be kept outside year round.

Review of Coast Redwood Tree 50 Seeds-World's Tallest Tree-Bonsai
Redwood seeds have a viability rate of less than 15%.That would mean of the 50 seeds only about 8 would germinate. So sowing only 5 seeds would be gambling against the odds. However, within three weeks 15 of the 50 seeds had germinated which is twice the expected rate!
These seeds were sowed in a very shallow container using potting soil (as opposed to seeding soil) with slight acidity.(I used Scotts, African Violet Potting Mix.)The slight acidity will not inhibit germination. The soil was also kept very damp because redwoods require LOTS of water. They were kept indoors with a steady temperature range between 60-70F and out of any direct sunlight.
Anyone expecting redwoods to be low-maintenance should probably look for another species of tree. They require frequent watering, high-humidity, and warm temperatures to thrive.Seedlings don't require much sunlight, however. Also, as the tree grows the root system spreads out to cover a large surface area to support its own height so wide spaces are necessary.(In other words, I wouldn't plant a redwood near the foundation of a house if I wanted that house still standing there hundreds of years later.) This wouldn't be a problem if it will be trained as bonsai.

Product Description:
Species Name: Sequoia -- from the Cherokee Indian chief Sequoyahsempervirens -- from the Latin meaning "always green" Family Name: Taxodiacae, often called the deciduous cypress family Relatives: The coast redwood has only two close relatives. The shorter but more massive giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) grows only in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. The deciduous dawn redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides), a veritable midget at 115 feet in height, is found native only in a remote area of central China. Location: Although Sequoia sempervirens have been cultivated elsewhere, this tree naturally achieves its majestic heights and lush groves only in one place in the world -- a 450-mile strip along the Pacific Coast of North America, beginning in southern Oregon and ending just south of Monterey, California. The trees prosper in this mild climate zone, where winter rains and summer fog provide an even temperature and a high level of year-round moisture. The trees inhabit sheltered, well-watered places of rich soil as far inland from the Pacific Ocean as the fog drift -- seldom more than 20 miles -- and up the coastal mountainsides to about 2,000 feet elevation. Age: The oldest verified redwood tree is at least 2,200 years of age, but foresters believe that some may be much older. Size: The coast redwoods are the tallest living species on Earth. Often they can reach heights of 300-350 feet and diameters of 16-18 feet. More than a dozen trees exceeding 360 feet in height are now growing along the California coast.Redwoods are also renowned for their extremely high volume of standing biomass, in some stands exceeding 3,500 metric tons/hectacre.

Product Description:
The term 'bonsai' literally translated from Japanese means tray planting or tree in pot. The term refers specifically to the training and artistic vision applied to the tree; ultimately this will give the illusion of an aged miniature tree in nature. It is more than just a little tree, it is an attempt to represent nature itself in a small pot. Translated as potted tree, bonsai trees are the attempt to represent larger natural tree forms in a diminutive scale. In this case we have chosen a hearty 3 year old juniper for its long trailing brances, which are easy to train into many fantastic bonsai styles. Delivered in a beautiful 8" glazed clay earth/water pot that is complimented by Japanese suiseki balance stones and a miniature fisherman.
