Review of EZ Digger Garden Hand Plow

I adore this tool. It has replaced for almost daily use my small hand-rake, trowel, hand-hoe, and dibble. I never thought the trowel would be displaced! This little hand-plow is way overpriced at $24 and can easily be gotten for $16 or even less, so shop around. But do get one. It's the only tool I've ever used that easily gets grass with all its roots out of an already planted bed with minimal harm to perennials; if all it had done for me was let me get grass roots out so that it doesn't just grow back, that would've been sufficiently splendid. But it also turns soil, allows me to mix compost into old established beds that need soil refreshed, trenches for bulbs, breaks up soil with such ease that I'm no longer tempted to just put a new plant into a "socket" of a hole without loosening lots of soil around it. Now that I've grown accustomed to the ease this hand-tool lends to so many garden uses, I can't get along without it. I got a second one in case I set one down and can't find it fast enough. Only my clippers are so essential.

Review of Japanese Slicing Knife Small Fine Chef Quality NHS1800

Love this knife! 2nd one I've owned. Just do not use it as an ice pick
like my wife did and break off the tip.It does require a some care, but
is well worth it.It stays so sharp! You will hardly use any other knife
in your rack.It fits in your hand great and is nice an light. You do not want it any larger for safety sake. The price is great compared to other name brand $100+ knives. Do not freak when the carbon steel cutting edge discolors, as this is natural. The only thing is that when you wash it off(never diswasher), you must towel dry it right away or that carbon steel will rust.I purchased a $10.00 2" x 3" diamond block sharpener for it that I use maybe once a month to keep it razor sharp. If you are the cook in the household like me, you will use this baby all day long.

1800 SMALL GOURMET SLICING KNIFEOur smaller, lower cost 1800-Series NHS Knives have rosewood handles, plastic ferrules, with the same blade construction as our 5000 Series knives. The pointed blade of this version is excellent for slicing meats as well as vegetables. 5 1/4" blade, 9 5/8" overall.Comes with use and care instructions. This knife is a product of NHS, a premier cutlery maker in Seki City, Japan, famous for Samurai Swords and fine cutlery. It is designed to permit exceptionally thin slicing of vegetables, specifically for vegetarian and macrobiotic cooking. To achieve this, the cutting blade is made with a sword grade, compound cutlery steel that is capable of holding a razor sharp edge. The slicing ability is superior to any other similar knife available. The unique cutting edge has a tendency toward staining, however, and is more subject to chipping than heavy duty knives. Therefore for appearance and to provide additional strength, the blade is sandwiched between outer layers of stainless steel, exposing only the cutting edge. The exceptional thinness of this combination blade can be seen by viewing along its top edge.Proper care will provide many years of superior use. Our NHS knives are from Seiki City, Japan, famous for the Samurai sword and fine Japanese cutlery. They feature extraordinarily thin blades of the highest quality compound steel in the center and outer sandwiching layers of SUS-410 stainless steel. Each blade is finely ground, tempered, and sharpened. NHS combines sword grade high carbon steel for maintaining a superior edge with the convenience and durability of stainless steel.

Review of Small Japanese Vegetable (Usuba) Gourmet Knife NHS1801

I have been watching the chefs on the cooking channel just chop through vegetables as though it was easy, well it wasn't with my cheap knives.I went with this small Japanese knife because I have a small hand and didn't want the extra weight of other vegetable knives. This is a very sharp knife that really does the trick.Last night I cut paper thin slices of golden beets without any effort. Now I wonder why it took so long for me to buy a better knife. Wonderful product with a nice handle, too.

Review of Agrosun Dayspot Incandescent 60W Bulb

If you need something to get some seedlings started, this does work. It definitely doesn't work as well as some of the more expensive lights and it doesn't do much at all for the larger starts but, it will at least provide enough to get your seeds started. After that, I recommend either planting them outdoors or buying a better light.

Review of Joshua Roth 130 The Original GardenCut All Purpose Shear

My first impression was.....this shear is too long. I had been used to using a six inch floral shear. Little did I know! Much easier getting into those bushy plants. The Roth is soooo comfortable to use in the garden. Andit is ultra sharp and makes super cuts, which are so very important whenharvesting flowers for show. Cuts and does not 'crush' stems. Lookingforward to using it in the crafts shop. This is great value for the price.

Product Description:
Zamioculcas zamiifolia Strange but beautiful. A caudex-forming aroid from Kenya has 3in, shiny-green leaves arranged distichously along bottle-shaped stems, giving a cycad-like appearance. Easy to grow, good as a houseplant, bonsai, for shaded landscapes or terrariums. An ancient relic, along with Gonatopus, with a unique characteristic (for Aroids) in that the leaflet can fall to the ground, root and form bulblets. This feature is not known in aroids outside of the Zamioculcadeae.
